The Vermont Alliance for Children

The Vermont Alliance for Children (TVAC) is a new way to coordinate, fund and deliver early care, health and education services for Vermont's young children and their families. A statewide Board will oversee the Alliance. A local Alliance for Children office in each region of the state will bring together parents, service providers, employers and others at the community level to develop their community plan for existing and new services. This plan will inform funding decisions. These local offices will also make it easier for parents to find the help they need because there will be just one number to call! Kids Are Priority One is committed to increasing access to high- quality early childhood services for all Vermont's young children. Building a unified, coordinated early childhood system through the Vermont Alliance for Children: Building Bright Futures is an effective way to accomplish this. The Early Childhood System Plan, which outlines how the Vermont Alliance for Children: Building Bright Futures will work, has grown out of a vital partnership among state government, community organizations, and businesses. Kids Are Priority One supports legislation that would create a unified, coordinated early childhood system with the resources and capacity to support this vision.
